When the Easter Bunny comes, you pose with giant sparkly eggs

Easter Sunday is always one of my favorites because I get to spend it with my moms side of the family. The last two years I have spend the Saturday before Easter working at Burch Farms helping with their annual Easter Egg hunt. I had such a blast this year and there was such an amazing turnout and the kids had so much fun!

After the hunt, I made my way to my moms and we had a great relaxing night on Saturday, drinking wine and catching up on Seal Team.

On Sunday, I woke up to the greatest surprise! Instead of Easter baskets this year, my mom decided to put all of my chocolate and presents into GIANT SPARKLY EGG, HOW PERFECT! The eggs were so much fun and made for some great photos! After I opened my Easter eggs, we made our way to my Uncles for Easter Brunch. This is always a fun time because all of the cousins are in town and its so nice seeing them. Easter brunch consisted of lots of yummy foods, wine, polaroid pictures and mimosas!

Aside from all of the fun times we had on Sunday, my mom and I made our way to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh on Monday. This is my favorite museum because not only do I love looking at the Dinosaur, Ancient Egypt, American Indians, and wildlife exhibits, I LOVE the rocks and minerals exhibit! As a child, I had a massive rock collection and I still collect rocks to this day. The Hillman Hall of Minerals and Gems exhibition displays more than 1,300 specimens from all over the world that come in a large range of striking colors, fascinating forms, and dramatic shapes. After you are done looking at those, you can make your way over to the Wertz Gallery of Gems and Jewelry. Wertz Gallery has the same natural specimens that you saw in the Hillman Hall except they have been crafted into gemstones and jewelry. There are approximately 500 gems, crystals, and pieces of jewelry are on display in the gallery’s permanent collection. So coming from an amateur rock collector, this is a dream come true! And of course we had to end the day with a visit to the Hofbrauhaus to get a cold Lienenkugel and delicious Reuben.

I hope all of you enjoyed your Easter and had a beautiful holiday with your families!

XO, Jord
